What's On
We host safe and inclusive groups and events at our community space in Halifax, designed and run by our members - find out more here!
Event Calendar
Our community space on Queens Road is now open for community groups hosting events and activities. You can see a full list of what's coming up on our online calendar here.
From 2024 we will be hosting drop in sessions where you can come in to find out more and explore any ideas you have. We will also have regular socials, a monthly listening space and also a feedback circle for people using the space to decide together how it runs. Until then you can see some of what will be on offer next year below.
In the meantime, Moms on a mission are hosting monthly 'Wellness Wednesdays' and 'Fitness Fridays' sessions for women. Check the calendar for dates and the MOMs page for more information.
If you are interested in using the space for a group or activity, please contact us for more information.

What to expect...

We get together to meet, connect, support each other, share ideas, play music, create art, eat, do activities, organise and relax.
We want to make these spaces accessible to all, whatever language, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, age or access to financial resources. Our events are free to access - we welcome donations from those who can afford to contribute so that we can continue to do this work.
We would like to support people who speak a language other than English to connect by offering translation where we can. If you speak another language and would like to come along, please let us know.
Please read the FAQs below for more details...
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book in advance?
There is a limit to the amount of people we can host for health and safety reasons so we sometimes ask that you let us know in advance how many people are coming. Some events are limited numbers and require booking.
Can children come?
Where possible we welcome children and young people to come along with a family member or guardian. Some of the groups that use the space provide activities specifically for young people.
Will there be alcohol?
Our events are drink and drug free. We feel that this makes the space safer, more inclusive and supports connection.
Can i get involved in / volunteer?
We would love more people to get involved in organising, running sessions, connecting with more people and spreading the word in our communities. Please let us know if you can help.
Who is organising this?
We are a new community organisation made up of people living in and near Halifax who enjoy being together in diverse groups, showing up in solidarity with one another and creating new connections. This is a community led project, set up as a CIC, so let us know if you share our values and would like to get involved.
How is this funded?
We funded the set up of this organisation ourselves and are also supported by a grant from West Yorkshire Mayor's Safer Communities fund. Over time we aim to become self sustaining. If you feel able to contribute to help us get set up either by donating money or your time, please get in touch.
If you have any other questions, please contact us.
We hope to see you at one of our events soon :)
