We are currently focusing on building the network and finding a suitable building to set up a shared community space. If you would like to hear about future events, or get involved in organising, cooking, making, performing, fundraising or something else, please get in touch or follow us on Facebook.

What to expect

We come together to connect, explore ideas, support each other, share food, meet new people, play music and relax.

We want to make these spaces accessible to all, whatever language, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, age or access to financial resources.

Our events are free to access. We welcome donations from those who can afford to contribute so that we can continue to do this work.

We would like to support people who speak a language other than English to connect by translating where we can. If you speak another language, please let us know.

Please read the FAQs below for more details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. There is a limit for the space for health and safety reasons and we need to know how many people to provide food for.

Can children come?

We welcome children and young people coming along with a family member or guardian who can take responsibility for their wellbeing.

Will there be alcohol?

Our events are drink and drug free event to make it safer and support connection.

Can i get involved in / volunteer?

We would love more people to get involved in planning, donating, cooking, translating, playing music, entertaining kids, washing up, social media and spreading the word in our communities. Please let us know if you can help

Who is organising this?

We are a collective of people living in Halifax who enjoy being together in diverse groups, showing up in solidarity with one another and creating new connections. We see that as the cost of living rises, many of us have limited resources to pay for what we need. We want to share what we have and grow a more resilient community.

We are just starting out with this new idea and will see what emerges from there. The collective was initiated by Jaden and Viv and we would love this to grow and become a community led project, so let us know if you share our values and would like to get involved. More events coming soon!

How is this funded?

We are currently funding this ourselves, so we are grateful for any donations at our events or at any time. If you feel able to contribute either by donating, money or food, or your time or skills, please contact us.

If you have any other questions, please get in touch.

We hope to see you at one of our events soon :)
